Clinical Research Unit

We have established CRUs at the partnering hospitals to enable efficient collaboration and seamless integration between scientific research and the clinical endeavor. We aim to learn about human infection directly from patients by making measurements on patient-derived samples or indirectly from studying microbial evolution under selective pressure. From studies that allow us to quickly identify associations between patients and infection outcomes to pathogen challenge studies in patients, our approach is to learn as quickly and as much as possible in the context of the patient.
